Ok, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on reducing the amount of temptation of a certain sin you get. My family has a history of not resisting sexual temptation, and i really really want to change that. I am putting forth efforts on resisting it, i have done well, but i am getting sick and exhuasted from it, and the stress of doing everything to break a chain that you have been in your whole life is starting to get to me. On top of that there are at least 5 girls, that i know about, that like me. I like 2 of them, but one is moving and the other is taken. And being a teenager in high school, just makes it worse, hormones flying left and right. I would just like you guys to pray for me. My dad was a sex offender and i dont want to turn out like him. Please pray for me, and please if you have any tips at all, i will gladly take them. Thanks so much for all your help.

I'm sorry about the situation you are in but I unfortunatly can't really give any advice. I'm prolly in a worse predicament. All I can really say is if you are are in a situation alone with some one you have feelings for its really hard to stop when you've already begun(if that makes any sense).
The way I try to look at it is 1. don't do anything you wouldn't do with your parents in the room. and 2. remember that person is pobably someone elses wife. Were in highschool the odds of staying with someone forever is not in our favor. I'm not saying it doesn't happen but were ALL trying to find ourselves and having someone else to think about is just more stress. You know what I mean?

Thanks for your help. It really really helps. And about the part with "its really hard to stop when you've already begun" did you mean that you are saying not to get myself into a situation in which things could happen that i will regret?

Exactly if you are not planing on hooking up with someone then don't be in a room alone with them making out because things progress a lot faster than you would think. Things just kind of happen and its not worth it trust me. I've been there and done that and I wish more than anything that I could take it back but I can't.
One thing that you can do though is set boundaries and let them know between the two of you. If makes things a whole lot easier.

That is the thing i have set boundries, and i fail to hold them. This was 2 years ago, and so i mean things are just alot harder with this stuff. So ya.

Yea I know I'll set boundaries 2 but i always break them. It helps to go on group dates though. Im always embar*ssed to like make out n stuff in front of my friends. Mainly cuz they won't let me . Idk u should try it it helps me.

That makes sense. I have a brother 15months younger then me with a GF, and I am interested in a girl at the curch i go to. The 2 girls are best friends. So things would seem to be easier. Also i have liked this girl for about 5 years, and she knows it. So ya, so i am just hoping things start to get better. High School is so stressful. =/

Yea it is pretty stressful. OH and make sure that you are both on the same level faith wise cuz if your not then there are problems.

Ya, i found that out the hard way. The place that i got the farthest i have ever been. the one i want and i have the same faith level, or close to it.
